It produces numerous double-petalled yellow blooms which are held high above the foliage on sturdy stems, giving the exotic look of a tropical waterlily. In warm, sunny weather, these blooms show glowing peach overtones towards the centre of the flower (hence the name). It also has an exceptionally long bloom period - it is always one of the first lilies to flower in spring, and one of the last to go dormant in autumn.
