Take a significant step toward becoming a fully qualified ski instructor with Rookie Academy’s BASI Level 3 course and exam. This intensive program is split into two parts. The first two weeks focus on developing your technical and teaching skills to meet the Level 3 standard. Training at Treble Cone—home to all five of BASI’s skiing strands—you’ll gain experience across a variety of terrain and conditions. With guidance from three BASI trainers, you’ll work closely with the Rookie team to refine your technique and create a personalised action plan aligned with the Level 3 tech and teach criteria. The second part of the course spans three weeks, starting with an additional week of training to fine-tune your action plan and continue progressing in both technical performance and teaching. In week four, you’ll sit the teaching exam, having prepared by practicing the required Level 3 teaching standards. Week five is dedicated to the technical exam, with assessment-based training helping you take full ownership of your skiing. This course will challenge and extend you. You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of skiing fundamentals, stronger teaching abilities, and better habits to support your growth as a confident, adaptable skier across all terrain.
