We've upgraded to Solid Polymer capacitors in critical areas, providing unrivaled audio performance with higher ripple current, lower ESR, stable capacitance at any temperature, and greater lifespan. Experience audio like never before. Each channel on the UP1 Reference has two banks of DIP switches for customizing your cartridge settings. The first bank offers a wide range of input impedance values, additional capacitance options, and a selection for Moving Magnet/Moving Iron/Moving Coil. The second bank sets the overall gain for your cartridge from 40dB to 80dB in 5 dB steps. With these versatile options, there is no cartridge that the UP1 Reference will not be compatible with.
