With this technology, a printer directly applies the ink onto a product with inkjet technology. It’s sort of like printing on paper, except on a t-shirt or hoodie. The DTG process uses eco-friendly nontoxic "water-based" inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment. Due to the combination of water based inks along with the fabric density & fabric content of different products, the print opaqueness (not able to be seen through; not transparent) will vary from product to product. Because the water based ink is "absorbed" by the fabric, the resulting printed graphic will have a faded/vintage look. While we think this is a cool "lived-in" effect, it may not be ideal for you if you prefer a super opaque printed outcome on the products you wish to order. Disclaimers: • Please note that the prints on the t-shirt may have variations in texture and appearance. This is due to a natural byproduct of the printing process called glycol, a nearly-clear glossy substance that may give the print a shinier appearance where present. Glycol is water-soluble/miscible, so washing the garment will easily remove it. • Due to the heat press used in the printing process, there may be some shading around the print area on darker-colored t-shirts.
