Compact and well-rounded, this cultivar is smaller growing and has smaller leaves and flowers than the species. Its Distinctive oakleaf-shaped leaves turn bronze, maroon and purple in autumn, while cone-shaped masses of loosely-packed white florets fade to pink during bloom (May-July). Blooms on old wood, do not prune. Remove only spent flowers and dead, damaged or unsightly wood.
