Collected as a mature leaf. Form defined by deep, rounded lobes along the outer edge. Surface broad; internal veins present but not strongly expressed. Drying produces uneven contr action across the leaf. Lobes curl at different rates, some folding inward, others lifting slightly. The planar structure breaks, though the overall form holds. Copper adheres first where the leaf is held during plating, then progresses outward across the surface. Internal veins do not guide the spread. Deposition remains lighter through the centre, increasing toward the outer edges. The lobes develop a heavier build-up along their contours. Variation between specimens expected in depth of lobes and degree of curl. Underlying structure remains consistent. Margin note: Didn’t expect the veins to show this clearly. Show more
