It was sacred to Zeus at Dodona, to Thor and Perun as the thunder tree, to the druids whose very name may share a root with it, and to centuries of European folk practice that read it as strength, endurance, and the guarded threshold between worlds, including, in the fairy lore, a door to the fae. Hanging its image on a wall borrows none of that power and all of that meaning: a daily reminder of slow strength in a fast world, which is what the oak has always been asked to stand for. Frame it over the altar, the desk, or the doorway, wherever the reminder does its best work.Pairs Well With Odin Poster: a companion print from the same wall of the old world. Owl Poster: the wisdom bird for the neighboring frame. Oak Leaf Pentagram Patch, 3 in: the same tree's emblem, wearable. Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat size is the poster?8.5 by 11 inches, the standard letter size, so any common frame fits it without trimming.Does it come framed? No, the print ships unframed and ready for the frame of your choice. Why the oak?Because no tree in European lore carries more: strength, endurance, thunder gods, druid groves, and fairy doors. It is the forest's elder statesman, and it hangs well over an altar.
