Note: This is IFRA compliant and our recommended go to oakmoss. One of the downsides to the restriction on oakmoss being coupled with the need to remove certain chemicals from it is that you can be left with a somewhat flaccid absolute. The great Laboratoire Monique Remy (LMR) has solved this problem with this molecular distilled IFRA compliant oakmoss absolute. The material is as colourless as oakmoss can get (being a very pale orange) but it punches well above its pay grade. It is pre-diluted by LMR at the laboratory in non-natural triethyl citrate so it is not suitable for natural perfumers. While we love pure unadulterated green Oakmoss for non-commercial use, this special molecular distilled product is our general oakmoss of choice. It is rich, intense, longer lastinging than all others (so much so it is almost hard to believe) and truest to the scent of the classic green Yugoslavian oakmoss used in the original Chypre by Coty. If you only buy one oakmoss, this is the one. We also stock original pure and natural non-IFRA compliant green oakmoss absolute from the former Yugoslovia, diluted to 50% in natural triethyl citrate for your convenience, making it suitable for natural fragrances.
