No other contemporary analog poly synth can claim such a lineage or deliver such a massive, unmistakable sonic character.Vintage SEM EssenceInspired by Tom's original SEM, the heart of his celebrated 4-voice and 8-voice synthesizers, the OB-6 sound engine features two discrete voltage-controlled oscillators (plus a sub-oscillator) per voice with continuously variable waveshapes. The classic Oberheim-inspired 2-pole, state-variable, resonant filter offers low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and notch functions. Completing the all-analog signal path are voltage-controlled amplifiers.Dual EffectsThe dual effects section offers studio-grade reverbs, delays (standard and BBD), chorus, flangers, and faithful recreations of Tom's original phase shifter and ring modulator. Although the effects are digital, maintaining a full analog signal path is ensured with a true bypass.X-Mod and Poly Step SequencingThe X-Mod expands tonal possibilities, facilitating the creation of dramatic and unconventional sounds. The polyphonic step sequencer supports up to 64 steps and 6 notes per step, allowing for polyphonic sequences, rests, and synchronization to an external MIDI clock.
