A brilliant Alderley Hall painting adorns the cover, and each panel features one or two family estates (one if stored horizontal, two if stored vertical). The back side shows a close-up of the rolling Derbyshire countryside that was developed for the playmat. The inside side panels show scenes reflecting four Obsession improvement tiles: the Flower Room, Private Study, Morning Room, and Great Hall. See images below.
