REAL CROSSLINKING.Most "ceramic" dressings are silicone oil floating in water. OBSIDIAN's film crosslinks as it cures, bonding a silicone–SiO₂ network to the rubber instead of sitting on top of it. NON-SLING, BECAUSE IT CURES.Applied thin, it hardens to a satin film in 5 to 10 minutes — by the time you back out of the driveway it isn't a liquid anymore. TIRES AND TRIM.Tires of every type, rubber trim and weather seals, vinyl and plastic trim, fender liners, mud flaps. HOW TO USE.Clean the tire and let it dry. Shake well. Spray onto a foam or microfiber applicator — not straight onto the tire — and spread evenly across the sidewall in overlapping strokes. Give it 5 to 10 minutes to cure. Don't drive until it's fully dry. NOT THE TREAD.Sidewalls and trim only — never the tread, never a braking or steering surface. It's a cosmetic dressing: it won't change the condition of the rubber underneath, so keep checking wear, cracking, and pressure. SAFE HANDLING Wear gloves, avoid prolonged skin contact, and keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes; if it gets in, rinse with water for 15 minutes. Applied thin to an applicator, it cures to a hardened satin film in 5–10 minutes — no fender stripes, no driveway puddles. Sprayed straight on the tire or laid on heavy, any dressing will sling. Matte or glossy? You control it. Thin coats give a clean factory satin; add a coat for more gloss. Is it safe for my tires? It's water-based with no petroleum solvents, so unlike solvent dressings it won't strip the antiozonants that keep sidewalls from cracking. It's cosmetic though — sidewalls and trim only, never the tread, and no substitute for regular inspection, correct pressure, and timely replacement.
