When a transmission runs hotter than it should, the fluid loses its ability to protect clutches, seals, and bearings, and every mile driven in that condition shortens the life of t he unit. This external oil cooler gives the automatic transmission fluid a dedicated heat-exchange path separate from the factory setup, bringing temperatures down to a range where the fluid stays stable and the internal components stay protected. This is a single cooler unit, not a kit. There are no fittings, no hose sections, no brackets, and no mounting hardware included. If your installation requires those items, source them separately before you begin the job. The cooler is listed as universal fit, which means it is not pre-configured for any specific vehicle line or transmission model; the installer is responsible for confirming that the inlet and outlet sizing, the mounting location, and the flow direction are compatible with the application at hand. The unit weighs 7 lb and is built to handle automatic transmission fluid. At REMCO, every item is pulled and packed individually, and the box includes a part list so the technician can confirm what arrived before the vehicle goes on the lift. REMCO has been working in automatic transmissions since 1991, and that experience shapes how each item is prepared and verified before it leaves the building. Before placing the order, check the transmission code or unit identifier on the vehicle, confirm the available space for mounting, and measure the existing cooler lines to match the fitting size you will need separately. A cooler that is the right capacity but installed with the wrong line size will not perform as intended. Overheating transmission fluid breaks down lubrication and accelerates wear inside the unit; adding an external cooler keeps fluid temperature in a safe operating range and extends service intervals. This listing is for the cooler only. It does not include fittings, hose, brackets, or any installation hardware. Verify what additional parts your setup requires before ordering. A single universal-fit cooler rated for automatic transmission fluid, weighing 7 lb, sized to handle the thermal load of a full-size automatic transmission without relying solely on the factory radiator circuit. Contents: one oil cooler unit, 7 lb. No sub-components, no hardware, no additional parts. What you see listed is what ships in the box. Before ordering, confirm that a universal cooler matches your line diameter, available mounting space, and fluid flow direction. Universal fit means adaptation may be required on your specific application. Show more
