An Ocean Conservation Commitment (OCC) captures the value of the assured conservation costs, and benefits to be leveraged, associated with maintaining a Large Scale Marine Protecte d Area of the Niue Moana Mahu PA for a period of at least 20 years commencing in 2023. OCC funds will be used to undertake specified activities (as noted in the Brochure) supporting ocean conservation and related long-term resilience and sustainability. OCCs cannot be onsold and do not generate financial returns, but they can be gifted.
