About the Rug The design of 'Off—Axis' originated in a time when the artist focused on the semiotics of medical scans and x-rays. 'Off—Axis' derives from a series of related scans of a hand, copied time and again, resulting in a sequence of mutating organisms. In this work, the scientific methods of processing visual data are carefully balanced with the delicate softness and intimacy of the human body. From second until third week, we weave and/or knot the rug. Then we wash it four times and dry under the sun each time. Afterwards it is stretched before pack and ship it your way six weeks after your order. Total delivery time is approximately seven weeks.
