Off Color Beer For Golf 4Pk is a 4.5% ABV witbier brewed with Meyer lemon juice and black tea, sold in a four-pack from Chicago's Off Color Brewing. Beer For Golf begins with a grain bill of pilsner malt, flaked wheat, wheat, flaked oats, and honey malt — a soft, creamy foundation typical of the Belgian wit tradition. What pushes it into unusual territory is the addition of Meyer lemon juice, lemon peel, coriander, and brewed black tea, transforming a familiar style into something closer to a refreshment hybrid that bridges beer and iced tea.Tasting NotesAroma: Fresh lemon zest leads immediately, followed by a nutty, slightly earthy black tea character. A subtle waft of coriander weaves through the malted wheat backdrop, giving the nose a gentle spice lift.Taste: The entry is bright and citrus-forward, with sparkling Meyer lemon freshness hitting the palate cleanly. At mid-palate, tangy acidity meets soft wheat sweetness and a light kernel of honey malt. Coriander and faint clove-like spice emerge as the sip develops, while bitterness stays remarkably low throughout.Finish: Black tea contributes a mild tannic dryness that keeps the finish crisp rather than cloying. The closing impression is clean, lightly tart, and refreshingly short — built to invite the next sip.How to Drink Beer For GolfThis wit is at its best served cold, straight from the can or poured into a tulip glass to release the lemon and coriander aromatics. At 4.5% ABV, it is purpose-built for extended, easy drinking sessions. It also works as a stand-in base for a Shandy, needing only a small splash of lemonade to amplify the existing citrus. Try it alongside a Michelada riff — the tea tannins play well with hot sauce and lime. For a simple summer serve, use it in a Beer-mosa with fresh-squeezed orange juice, where the low bitterness and wheat body provide a smooth foundation.Best For Day drinking on the golf course or at outdoor gatherings where sessionability matters Gifting to a craft beer fan who appreciates unconventional style twists Pairing with light summer meals where heavier ales would overpower the food Introducing non-craft drinkers to inventive wheat beers without overwhelming bitterness Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat does Beer For Golf taste like?
