I started work on this painting right as the terrible Israel-Gaza war broke out. The human carnage and suffering, loss of life, and the harm done to children made me feel really sad and I made this piece while feeling those feelings. It's an offering to those far away from me that I cannot help and a reminder to look for those around me that I can reach and offer aid to. Show more
