Offical Reach 13 Racing the Reaper Patch - U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command REACH Callsign Morale Embroidered Patch.Every second counts when the mission is mercy — REACH 13 flies hard, flies fast, and races the clock so others do not have to.REACH is the operational callsign assigned to aircraft flying on behalf of Air Mobility Command, the U.S. Air Force major command established in 1992 from the former Military Airlift Command and Strategic Air Command. AMC's mission spans worldwide strategic airlift, aerial refueling, and aeromedical evacuation, connecting every theater and every crisis with the aircraft, crews, and cargo needed to sustain operations. The REACH callsign covers C-17 Globemaster III, C-5 Galaxy, KC-135, KC-10, and contracted charter aircraft moving personnel, equipment, and patients across intercontinental distances on tight timelines. Racing the Reaper is the community's way of naming what airlift crews already know: that speed, precision, and endurance are the difference between a mission accomplished and a life lost. The phrase carries particular weight in aeromedical evacuation, where flight crews push aircraft and schedules to move critically wounded service members from the point of injury to definitive care. This embroidered patch captures that identity in a durable, display-ready format suited to flight suits, crew bags, shadow boxes, and unit history boards. The REACH 13 designation gives the design a specific mission-flight character that separates it from generic airlift memorabilia and grounds it in the lived experience of AMC crews who understand what it means to race the clock.Perfect For: Air Mobility Command veterans, C-17 and C-5 aircrew, KC-135 and KC-10 tanker crews, aeromedical evacuation specialists, AMC loadmasters and flight engineers, Scott AFB alumni, USAF transport community collectors, deployment keepsakes, shadow box displays, patch panels, crew bag tributes, and anyone who wants a piece that honors the urgency, endurance, and quiet heroism behind every REACH mission. It also makes a meaningful gift for families and supporters who understand that airlift is not a support role but a lifesaving mission flown around the clock by crews who race the reaper every time they take off.REACH heritage, stitched for the crews who race the clock and bring everyone home.
