About the artwork A snowy village square at night, painted by Mark for Snowmen at Christmas — the book that asks what snowmen get up to on Christmas Eve while we're all asleep. The answer, it turns out, is a party in the middle of town: goodies, games, dancing, and a visit from a very special guest. The light is the thing here. Everything glows — the trees, the shop windows, the snow itself — and it's why this one is so satisfying to watch come together. The book it came from Snowmen at Christmas, written by Caralyn Buehner and illustrated by Mark Buehner (Dial Books, 2005), from the New York Times bestselling Snowmen series.
