The Oiseau Bleu Collection by Gien features elegant birds, buds and branches depicted with the skill and vision of an artist, capturing a sense of movement, dimension and arrangement. The border design, inspired by 18th century dinnerware found on a Spanish shipwreck, has a delicate appearance, as if it has been gently worn away by the ocean's waves and salt. A Gien plate requires 26 different ingredients and passes through the hands of 30 Faience craftsmen, the heirs to a legacy of two hundred years of skill and know-how. In order to preserve the quality, it is recommend to use microwave for reheating only. Before reheating, ensure your faience is already at room temperature. This is to avoid thermal shock.
