An emphasis on form and negative space. OJO is composed of open oval forms, hand-formed and hammered in fine silver. The heavily textured surface catches light unevenly, while the central opening creates balance through absence. These were the very first pair of silver earrings ever made in the studio — each one carries the irregularities of that process, the direct imprint of the hand, unrepeated from piece to piece. Formed in 99% fine silver, hand-shaped and finished with a deeply textured surface. The reverse shows subtle marks and irregularities from the hand-forming process — a natural result of the making, not a flaw. Designed as a bold, sculptural presence at the ear.
