80 days. This delicious melon was bred by Father Athanase of the Trappist Monastery at La Trappe, Quebec around 1912. He crossed the green fleshed Montreal Market melon with a Bana na melon. The result is an early, sweet, orange-fleshed melon with a netted rind. It almost disappeared but was rediscovered growing on Bizard Island in Quebec and we are pleased to be able to offer it.
