If you compare the chimney stack to say our Cactus Jack smokers, its much smaller in proportion to the smoker, we are unsure why the manufacturer does this but it makes fire management much more difficult. The chimney stack is one of the most important parts to a smoker, its only job is to allow hot air out of the cook chamber and out, this draft mechanism is what pulls more heat from your fire. Having a chimney stack too small will not allow the smoker to breathe, this will choke your fire and give you issues when trying to maintain a fire.
