Historical mountain refuges have such a unique characteristic, I cannot help but be fascinated by them as a photography subject. Situated 2,706m high on the side of a glacier, the old Refuge Albert 1er was built in 1930. Now used as a winter refuge it stands perfectly in front of the scene of Glacier du Tour and Aiguille du Chardonnet. Show more
