• Location- Northeast India / Nagaland • Estimated Age- early to mid 20th Century. • Old Shell, Bamboo and Beads make up this unique pair of earrings which come from the tribe of t he Konyak which are one of many throughout Nagaland. These earrings were worn exclusively by headhunters, a practice which was banned in the 1960's. • These are decorated with motifs found on the chests of successful headhunters.
