Wald Baskets are great, but sometimes you gotta veer off the road and go in a new direction. Old Man Mountain makes super tough touring bike racks. This basket can mount to the OMM Divide and Divide Fat racks, as well as their Pizza and Elkhorn rack. Stamped aluminum with welded corners. Comes with mounting hardware for using an OMM rack, but if you are gunna stick this on any other rack, you'll be using zip ties, just like with a Wald basket. Not a big deal, totally works fine, but make sure you pick up some Zip ties as well. Same basic dimension as a medium Wald 137, so you can use a Fifth Season Simple Squall in there, or really any 137 specific bag. Top of the basket has a bunch of small slots which make it great for running a Voile strap across the top of the basket. If you're a weight weenie, note that this basket is 499 grams, make it 67 grams lighter than the steel Wald basket. Real talk: get this basket if you want a different look, not because 67 grams matters. Powder coated black.
