Olibanum CNC is one of the finest Chuit Naef bases from the early 20th century. It incorporates the noblest aspects of the frankincense tree (Omani Boswellia sacra) — from the pure heart of the resin to the sacred essential oil. Olibanum CNC is richly floralised with pure and natural oils and absolutes and further enriched with the highest quality aroma chemicals. This base was so beloved that it extended past company boundaries and great perfumers with no connection to Chuit Naef & Cie (perfumers such as Jean Carles,) used it liberally in some of their greatest creations, for example Miss Dior. Olibanum CNC can be used in traces to impart a fine frankincense note through the entire life of a fragrance, or in overdose for a special cachet. Olibanum CNC is practically a perfume unto itself and it transports you to the wonderous ancient orient from whence came the Three Magi, golden pharaonic dynasties, and incense clouded sultanates.
