Olives make great bonsai, and with the right variety they make tight growth and have small leaves. We've specifically sourced good compact genetics for these trees and propagated a nd grown them to be small bonsai. They are not a named cultivar, but a Bonsaify selection from Olea europa stock. They do not often fruit and flower like larger-leaf varieties. Native to mediterranean climates (wet winter, dry summer), they are well adapted to hot and dry conditions. As a small bonsai they will need regular water and fertilizer. Water as much as daily but don't keep them constantly wet. Avoid temperatures below 32F.
