This OD anglehead torch is based on the Vietnam era US military model. Designed for infantry use it could be clipped onto a pocket leaving the soldier hands free to operate. Due to the anglehead design, it requires very little space to operate (a mechanics best friend). The torch has a switch for constant light or a button you hold down momentarily (handy for signalling). The bottom unscrews and has a compartment containing four different coloured filters. These are great for aiding your natural night vision so your eyes don't focus on white light. The difference between this and the original is these have 5 LED bulbs giving much higher output. These torches are great for camping, airsoft, trekking or keeping around the house. The ability to go hands-free for general night navigation is a fantastic feature.
