A lustrous olive coloured vintage silk haori with an attractive all-over shibori design of egasumi which represents drifting hazy mists common in Japan. The haori has an off-white rinzu (damask) silk lining with woven chrysanthemums & peonies with off-white haori-himo. Shibori is a traditional manual resist dyeing technique in which tiny sections of light-weight silk are bound with thread to produce the design before dyeing. Please note this is a vintage piece which has a small yellowed patch on the silk lining, but it is wearable as it not visible when the jacket is being worn.
