Neritina natalensis, or Nerite snail, are freshwater snails that are common in the aquarium hobby as they are well-known for being excellent algae eaters. They will eat algae off o f glass, substrate, and décor and will note eat live plants. They do not reproduce in freshwater (only brackish water) and hence will not overpopulate in an aquarium. DO NOTE: Some of our Nerite Snails MIGHT have imperfect shells or a calcium deficiency, but this will gradually be fixed if you feed them a well-balanced diet with a good calcium source. Show more
