Pale green sparkling Olivenite has formed as a velvety botryoidal layer to over 5mm thick growing upon a Quartz matrix. The Quartz forms a druse of crystals to 2cm length. Accompan ied by old labels that describe the specimen as 'Earthly', it is an interesting display specimen which was donated to the Philadelphia Academy of Natural sciences by T. B. Wilson in the mid 1800s. Show more
