Olympus Trip 35: The Travel Icon That Never Needs a Battery For generations, the Olympus Trip 35 has made capturing life on film feel effortless, joyful, and full of charm, (no batteries needed!) and we’ve lovingly restored this one to be the perfect charming companion for whatever adventure you take next. The Olympus Trip 35 is the kind of camera that makes film photography feel simple without making it feel boring. Introduced in 1967 and designed to accompany photographers on their travels, this compact 35mm camera pairs timeless styling with a wonderfully sharp 40mm f/2.8 D.Zuiko lens. Its selenium light meter powers the automatic exposure system using available light, so the camera never needs a battery. Set your film speed, choose one of the four easy focus symbols, and the Trip 35 handles the exposure for you. The 40mm lens offers a natural perspective that works beautifully for travel, everyday life, portraits, street scenes, and candid photos with friends. When there isn’t enough light, a red warning flag appears in the viewfinder to let you know that you should find a brighter scene or use an external flash. Why You’ll Love It Effortlessly Simple: Fully automatic exposure and easy zone focusing make this a true point-and-shoot—perfect for beginners and pros alike. Battery-Free Freedom: With its self-powered selenium light meter, you’ll never worry about running out of juice—just load your film and shoot. Iconic Style and Build: Compact, sturdy, and stylish, it’s a camera you’ll want to carry everywhere. Unmistakable 35mm Charm: The 40mm Zuiko lens captures sharp, contrast-rich images that bring out the best of your memories in classic film style.
