Overall, the Ombre collection, with its fine play of colours and advanced pattern, is a result of the particularly refined craftsmanship in Peru and therefore encapsulates Elvang's DNA to a great extent. Ombre is woven from a blend of recycled sheep and alpaca wool, and this special combination of fibres makes it light, durable and soft at the same time. The recycled wool is processed at our local supplier in Peru, which means that the wool comes from other productions and would otherwise be considered waste. By pulling the wool apart, the original fibres emerge and new yarn can be spun and woven into new textiles. In this way, Elvang helps to utilise already existing resources that, instead of being discarded, are given new life with us. Show more
