size 3/4” One of my favorite Asian arboreal species. Described by Henry Charles Abraham of the U.K. in 1924 originally as Lampropelma violaceopedes. Later in 2015 it was moved to t he Omothymus genus by Smith & Jacobi. This is a large arboreal spider with an attitude. Its beautiful royal blue color and long slender body can get up to 8”-9”. Having one of these rear up in a threat posture is quite the sight, and they often do. Show more
