On offer is an original archive of handwritten correspondence by John Alden being a group of eleven [11] letters to his sweetheart, Miss Caroline Coppins of Newton, Massachusetts. All are dated 1906, written from Arkansas and various places in Texas. Most are multi-page letters on the letterhead of the Hotel Huckins of Sedalia, Missouri. John is an open and admirable correspondent who relays his love and affection but also his daily doings and his ambitions for the future.
