The Chesapeake Bay watershed provides an essential habitat for a variety of migratory and resident birds. Last year, when visiting Maryland's Eastern Shore, I was able to witness a wealth of waterfowl. Among a raft of ducks on the Choptank River, this drake American Wigeon caught my attention. While working on this piece I thought a lot about my future with art. Deciding it was finally time to fully commit to a journey merging two of my passions - nature and art - and to share my work with the world. Like this Wigeon paddling through the rough waves, I'm on my way.
