Developed from studies of the West Penwith abandoned mines, this series investigates the co-existence of long abandoned industrial structures and the advance of nature as she recla ims and rewilds the area. 'On Solid Ground' is an original painting, acrylic, charcoal and infused with paint made from the landscape - materials gathered during visits, ground and made into paint back in the studio.
