Over four weeks, you’ll experience the full creative process from forming your pieces to finishing them with glaze. dates: August: 2, 9 & 23 September: 6, 13 & 27 October: 4, 18 & 25 November: 8, 15 & 29 December: 6, 13 & 27 Here’s how the month unfolds: Week 1 – Pottery WheelLearn the basics of throwing on the wheel. We’ll cover centering clay, shaping forms, and getting comfortable with the rhythm of the wheel. Week 2 – Hand-Building & CarvingStep away from the wheel and explore hand-building techniques. You’ll shape clay by hand and experiment with carving and surface decoration to add personality and texture to your work. Week 3 – Break WeekNo class this week while your pieces are carefully bisque-fired in the kiln, preparing them for their final surface treatment. Week 4 – Painting & GlazingBring your pottery to life with color and finish. You’ll learn glazing techniques and decorative approaches that transform your pieces into finished works of art. Each class meets once a week at the same day and time, creating a relaxed rhythm where you can build skills step by step. If a scheduling conflict pops up, we’re happy to work with you to find a solution so you don’t miss out.
