This is an upgraded battery pack for the OneWheel Pint. It uses modern Molicel and Ampace cells which are higher quality and higher amp-rated than the original Sony VTC5D that Pints come with. The P28a pack is compatible with all Pint firmware and hardware. Pack Options Molicel P28a: (compatible with all Pint versions) 35A rated output, 2.8Ah capacity 2.8A normal charge (6A fast) Molicel P30b: (might not work with all Pints) 30A rated output, 3Ah capacity 3A normal charge (9A fast) Ampace JP30P1: (might not work with all Pints) 36A rated output (56A burst), 3Ah capacity 6A normal charge (9A fast) The capacity of the P30a and J30 packs are slightly higher than factory so you might need a rewheeled Pint, OWIE/FFM chip, or older firmware that can accept a higher Ah sized battery. Note that sometimes the BMS won't let it charge 100% until you ride it down and charge a second time. NEW: We have now validated pack durability and weld quality with copper nickel sandwich material! Copper is roughly 4x more conductive but it is so thermally conductive that it is difficult to achieve as strong of a weld as nickel alone. We are using a wide layer of copper followed by a narrow strip of nickel on top. This combines the conductivity of copper with the weld strength of nickel. All new builds July '26 and later will use this combination.
