Temples and shrines across Japan hold Setsubun festivities where priests and celebrities throw beans, sweets and sometimes cash at energetic crowds of visitors. Children also throw beans at oni who appear at the front door of their house. Those oni are usually dad or granddad wearing a mask like the one in this listing.
