Details & Tasting Notes Producer: Celler Entre Vineys Region: Spain Vintage: 2021 Grape: Xarel-lo Type: Organic, Biodynamic Bottle: 750 ml Alcohol Content: 11.5%Entre Vinyes is the lovechild of winemaker Maria Barrena, a project to save old vineyards - locally known as ‘La Baixada de les Bruixes’ or ‘The Witch’s Path’ - old bush vines in poor quality soil fallen into disrepair amongst rich forest land that provides the area with a rich biodiversity, integral to Barrena’s winemaking process. The poor soil produces very low yields but intense flavour in the grapes - leading to these fresh but rich wines. ‘Oniric’, meaning ‘dreamer’ in Catalan reminds us of Barrenas dream to rejuvenate these old farms. This Brisat is perfect for any wine lovers who also dabble in sherry - a reductive nose of apple and a fresh but savoury finish coming from 6 months aging in amphora on the lees.
