Black Onyx is a legacy bead dating back from ancient times. Part of the Sardonyx family, Black Onyx has been used in jewelry since the times of Raj in India and Emperors in China. To eliminate the natural banding found in the stones, it has always been dyed or treated to get that rich black coloring.
