World Spice Onyx Rose Tea: Malty Keemun Blend with Rose, Coriander & Bergamot World Spice Onyx Rose black tea combines a malty Keemun base with delicate rose petals, citrusy coriander, sweet orange, and bergamot to create a lightly floral afternoon beverage. The botanical pieces soften the traditional roasted tea character, delivering a mild floral sweetness that stays bright on the palate while avoiding the harsh astringency found in heavily oxidized blends. This formulation produces a naturally lighter-bodied liquor, which requires a higher leaf concentration to achieve balanced strength. The careful layering of warm malt, subtle citrus zest notes, and dried flower creates a versatile everyday drink that pairs exceptionally well with light baked goods and midday routines. Why You'll Love It Malty Keemun foundation provides robust depth without overpowering the delicate rose notes Bright coriander and bergamot cut through potential flatness common in straight floral teas Lighter body yields a smoother, lower-tannin finish suitable for frequent sipping Simple steeping parameters fit easily into office break rooms or home kitchens Clear liquor highlights the distinct orange and petal characteristics in every cup Best On Buttery biscotti or shortbread cookies Mild scones topped with fresh berries or plain clotted cream Midday refueling sessions demanding alertness without bitterness Post-meal hydration when heavy tannins would clash with dessert Pro Tips Scoop 1 to 2 teaspoons per 8 ounces of water to account for the lighter weight of the rose and coriander inclusion Dial your kettle to exactly 180°F; rolling boils will scorch the botanicals and extract unpleasant bitterness Keep the vessel tightly covered during the 2-minute steep to lock in volatile floral aromatics Drink it plain to fully appreciate the sweet orange and bergamot progression, adding milk only if you prefer a creamier mouthfeel Who's This For? Tea drinkers seeking a gentle floral infusion that still maintains a true black tea backbone Afternoon tea hosts assembling light pastry flights Casual brewers wanting a reliable two-minute routine with minimal guesswork Shoppers replacing heavy English Breakfast blends with something lighter yet equally satisfying FAQ Does World Spice Onyx Rose taste like pure flower tea? No. The Keemun base leads on the palate, while the rose petals serve as a soft aromatic backdrop rather than a dominant floral punch. How much caffeine does this blend provide? As a true black tea foundation blended with herbs and flowers, it offers a steady moderate lift comparable to standard brewed black teas, making it suitable for daytime consumption. Can I get a second steep from these leaves? A second infusion is possible if you extend the steep time slightly, though the rose and citrus character will fade quickly due to the blend’s light weight and rapid extraction rate.
