Onyx Wall Mounted Punch Bag Arm Compact Design. Heavy Duty Strength. Built to Perform. The Onyx Fixed Wall Mounted Punch Bag Arm is built for maximum strength, simplicity, and reliability - a commercial-class bracket, not a hardware-store hanger. Unlike adjustable and fold-away systems, this fixed-position design eliminates the pivots, pins and hinges that become weak points under repeated impact. A hanging bag doesn't just load a bracket with its own weight - every strike sends dynamic force through the mount many times greater than the bag's static weight. That's why commercial gyms run heavy fixed arms, and why the Onyx arm is engineered from Q235 structural steel - the same steel as our modular rack systems - with a 300kg-rated arm and reinforced mounting plate to handle repeated heavy strikes without movement or flex. Perfect for high-intensity boxing, Muay Thai and MMA training, it provides a secure, permanent mounting solution for punch bags in both home and commercial environments. If you're after a no-compromise, rock-solid setup, this is it. Important Installation Information This bracket must be mounted to a solid concrete or solid brick wall using the supplied expansion bolts. It is not suitable for plasterboard, hollow brick, timber-frame or other lightweight wall constructions. The 300kg rating applies to the steel arm itself - real-world capacity depends on your wall substrate and the quality of installation. Ensure the wall is load-bearing before installation, use an impact drill with a masonry bit and a level, and check bolt tension regularly. We recommend installation by a licensed contractor - incorrect installation can result in serious injury and will void any warranty. Full installation by our team is also available in Sydney as part of a gym fit-out. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Q: Is the arm adjustable?A: No - this is a fixed design for maximum strength and durability. If you want height adjustment or a modular, expandable setup on the same Q235 steel, see our Modular Single Punch Bag Rack and Modular Double Punch Bag Rack. Q: Why does a bag bracket need to be this heavy-duty?A: Because a swinging bag loads the mount with far more force than its static weight - every strike multiplies the load through the arm and into the wall fixings. Budget brackets are typically rated around 100kg; this arm's steel is rated to 300kg for commercial-class headroom. Q: Wall arm, floor rack or floor stand - which should I choose?A: A wall arm gives the most stable strike feel with zero floor footprint, but needs a solid masonry wall. No suitable wall? Our modular single rack bolts to a concrete slab instead, and the modular double runs two bags at once. Freestanding bag stands suit lighter setups. Q: Which bags does it suit?A: With a 300kg-rated arm, it comfortably handles our full Onyx bag range - see the 4ft, 5ft and 6ft bags - provided it's correctly installed on a suitable wall. Q: Is it suitable for home gyms?A: Yes - ideal for garages and permanent setups, provided you have a solid concrete or brick wall to mount to. Q: What's included in the box?A: The arm, reinforced mounting plate and heavy-duty expansion bolts - everything needed for installation on a suitable masonry wall.
