Hand-dyed by Blackwell Kids Co. in a soft, sun-washed blend of golden yellow, dusty rose, warm peach and subtle hints of pale green, the colors move organically across the fabric like watercolor. Some areas melt softly into one another while others hold little blooms of deeper pigment, giving the entire piece that perfectly imperfect hand-dyed character. Rather than adding a printed design or graphic, the garment itself became the canvas. Dye was applied by hand and allowed to move naturally through the fabric, creating the cloudy blends, soft transitions and concentrated areas of color you see throughout. Those variations aren't imperfections to hide—they're what make hand-dyed clothing different. No two dye baths behave exactly the same, which means this exact color placement won't happen again.
