This tea is a lightly oxidized oolong using older leaves to give it a rich mouth feel and a floral aroma. It is similar to a tie guan yin. Its sister tea, Delta Oolong, won a silver medal in 2018 in Global Tea Championship. This tea has flavor notes of brown sugar, jasmine, and sugar snap peas. 1 rounded tsp per 8 oz. of 195F water. Loose leaf tea generally produces a more flavorful and aromatic cup compared to tea bag tea because the leaves have more room to expand and release their full taste. Loose leaf tea often consists of whole or larger tea leaves, retaining more of their natural essential oils and nuanced flavors. In contrast, tea bag tea is typically made from smaller, broken tea leaves (dust and fannings), which can result in a quicker infusion but often a more one-dimensional or astringent taste. Additionally, loose leaf tea allows for multiple infusions, whereas tea bag tea tends to lose its strength after a single steep. Loose leaf will usually require a tea infuser.
