Our OP-3 UV Filtering Acrylic Sheet (ACRYLITE® Gallery UV Filtering, 0B000 GT) is museum-grade conservation glazing that blocks nearly 100% of UV light, 99.7% in the damaging 390nm range, the highest UV protection of any acrylic glazing. The protection is built into the material, not a surface coating, so it never wears off and either side can face the artwork. Unprotected art, photographs, fabrics, and paper fade, embrittle, and yellow under sunlight and artificial light, and once that damage is done it's irreversible. OP-3 stops it while staying optically clear at 92% light transmission, acid- and distortion-free, and far more impact resistant than glass. It passes the Oddy test for conservation use and is a UL Recognized Component, made in America. It's the standard for picture and conservation framing, display cases and shadow boxes, backlit frames, display boards, and museum glazing. Like all acrylic it cuts, forms, and fabricates easily, and ships with protective masking. Available in 1/8" thickness across a range of pre-cut sizes, full sheets, and custom cut-to-size.
