Whether you're a total beginner or a long-lost knitter who needs a refresher--if you've been wanting to learn to get your knit on, this workshop is for you! We'll cover basics of this simple, portable craft of turning yarn into fabric. With a pair of needles, some yarn and a little basic know-how, you'll be on your way to knitting nirvana. In this workshop, you'll learn: Yarn & needle information How to cast on and start The knit stitch How to bind off to finish any project For workshops that take place May - September, you will get started on a cotton sunglasses case, a cotton scrunchie, or wool handwarmers. Be sure to carefully review the materials list tab to purchase the correct supplies for your preferred project! Your workshop location will be indicated when selecting your workshop date above. Meet Your Instructor Amelia is a maker, designer, and instructor with over 20 years experience. She works in the fashion industry as a knitwear designer and is the Creative Director and Founder of Studio Faden, a fiber art instruction company. Originally from the PNW, she now calls Brooklyn home where outside of crafting, she enjoys yoga and her two cats.
