You will notice the radically dropped driveside chainstay that opens up the options for the big MTB tyres - it also adds a larger surface area for more material to be laid, further increasing torsional stiffness. Then Open UPPER utilises an advanced layup which is a blend of high and low modulus fibres strategically placed throughout the frame. It balances stiffness, ride quality, weight and comfort. A large wide and flattened down tube resists twisting forces - which is an effect when standing up and torquing the handlebars. It creates a solid plane between the bottom bracket and head tube - which leads to accurate steering and cornering.
