The dramatic curves of this serpentine sideboard create a luxurious, stately aesthetic. The serpentine front has nine drawers which conform in swelling and undulating contours to t he lines of the framework. The molded sides and scalloped bottom apron feature elegant foliate carving. Handmade and hand-finished in solid rosewood.Chippendale used a similar shape on some of his best pieces. In recent times, it has been only incorporated on a limited scale since the expense of this type of work precluded its production. Show more
